![]() 12 February 2008: HD Tune Pro released HD Tune Pro is an extended version of HD Tune which includes many new features such as: write benchmark, secure erasing, AAM. For actual 'tuning' in the sense of automobiles or vehicles, see engine tuning. These initial tests show huge potential to reduce raw-emissions (especially NOx and CO2) and noise level (comfort), combined with evident cost-savings and compatibility with today's vehicle architectures and energy infrastructure. Car tuning is modification of the performance or appearance of a vehicle. The concept of a simple two-stroke compression ignition engine, so called TSDI (Two Stroke Direct Injection), derived from an existing 4-stroke hardware, presented in this paper is built to verify the hypothesis, that lower injected fuel volume equals to lower NOx, sound and vibration emissions. To produce the same engine specific power output another combustion principle is needed. Especially in four-stroke diesel engines these conditions are produced due to a combustion of high injected fuel volume. A research matrix shows that high NOx, sound and vibration emissions are caused by high combustion pressure and temperature conditions. ![]() Currently the MPI-Spark-Ignition engine dominates the passenger car segment, but shows only limited potential to meet the worldwide targets for CO2 emission until 20. ![]() Nevertheless, internal combustion engines will still dominate as power unit for passenger traffic for many years and must therefore become even more sustainable and affordable. ![]() Abstract : Electrification seems to be the pioneering opportunity for the future means of mobility. ![]()
